A Tradition Of Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance features in our services from time to time and has captured something of the heartbeat of the church as we explore visual and performing arts in our worship and mission.
We were blessed to have Abby Murray, a contemporary dance student, with us for a couple of years and she performed several times for us. Abby is now married to Charlie Clayton and they are heading out to Ibiza to work with 24-7.
Ruth Gaucheron-Land is a trained dancer, and is beginning to explore how we can develop dance further in the life and work of our church together with Sarah Flashman, one of our Ministers, who has also completed training in contemporary dance.
Drama
From time to time our drama team has performed for us at key events in the church calendar, and to great effect.
This is another area under development as we explore ways to communicate Christian truth is a visual, dynamic and thought provoking way.
